In order to comprehensively promote the investment attraction for the construction of Xinyang’s Future Human Settlement City, and vigorously promote the industrial application and international cooperation of human settlement technology, the People’s Government of Xinyang has decided to hold the first “International Forum on Human Settlement Technology and Urban-Rural Development” in April, 2022.

The forum is planned to be advised by China Association for Science and Technology, People’s Government of Henan Province, International Council for Science and other relevant institutions, jointly held by the Xinyang Municipal People’s Government, the China International Association for Promotion of Science and Technology, and the Executive Committee of the World Summit of Young Scientists, and supported by more than 10 organizations including relevant agencies of the United Nations and Technology and Industrialization Development Centre of Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.
The forum will invite relevant ministries and commissions, domestic and foreign scientific organizations, top scientists, academicians, representatives of human settlement technology companies, universities and scientific research institutions, etc. Centered on various topics in the field of human settlements science and technology, such as “resilient city”, “future community”, “smart home”, “industrialization of buildings”, “artificial intelligence”, “resources and environment”, “remote sensing and earth big data” and so on, 1 main forum and 15-20 sub-forums and satellite meeting, etc. will be held in a way of “online + offline”, where in-depth discussions on frontier areas, future tendency, opportunities and challenges of the development of human settlement technology industries will be carried out, exploring the connotation and realization path of high-quality urban and rural development.
Cai Songtao, Municipal Party Secretary and Mayor of Xinyang, said that the first International Forum on Human Settlement Technology and Urban-Rural Development will become the first international exchange platform for the development of human settlement technology industry, which will provide technical support for China’s urban and rural development and people’s high-quality life. The forum will be a high-profile, high-level and international event in human settlement technology industry which will be held annually in China.
